Urban Sketchers Twin Cities invites you to Watermark. This FREE two-day sketching event celebrates the Mississippi riverfront and the Historic Mill District area of Minneapolis. Join us Friday, September 25-Saturday, September 26, 2026.
OVERVIEW: On Friday evening, September 25th, you are invited to the A-Mill Performance Hall for an opening reception and presentation by Chicago artist Jenny Jing Zhang, “Mixed Media: Changing Gears Based on the City’s Essence”.
On Saturday, September 26th, join us for a full day of sketching starting at 9am. Jenny Jing Zhang and four Urban Sketchers Twin Cities artists will lead demos around the Historic Mill District area of Minneapolis in the morning. We will lead sketchwalks to various locations before and after the demos in the morning and afternoon. Points of interest include the Mill City Farmers Market, Gold Medal Park, the Guthrie Theater, Mill City Museum, and Stone Arch Bridge. After a throwdown to share our sketches from the day, join us for post-sketch socializing, and end our evening at 7pm.
