February Sketch Meet at Mill City Museum

Don’t miss our February 2023 Sketch Meet on Sunday, February 19th from 12-3P
Come out to the Mill City Museum for an exciting afternoon of sketching!



When: Sunday, February 19th from 12 to 3P.
 The Museum is open from 10a-5P and the public spaces are free. 
There are two ways to participate in this Sketch Meet. 
  1. Sketch in the ample public and open spaces with great interiors and spectacular view of the      ruins from the public hallways. 
  2. And/or If you are interested in sketching in the Museum, including the Flour Tower or the 8th    Floor Machinery Area, you need to purchase an entrance sticker in the lobby.
        Admission to the Mill City Museum ranges from $8 to $12. 

 Where: Mill City Museum, 704 South 2nd Street, Minneapolis, MN. 5 blocks north of US Bank Stadium, near the Guthrie Theater. https://www.mnhs.org/millcity
 Parking: Parking is available in nearby ramps and metered parking on the street.
 Logistics: We will meet inside the front entrance on the left or west side at 12pm. Urban Sketcher Admins will be there to greet you. David Stevens, Director of the Mill City Museum will also be there for a welcome to the museum. The Bushel and Peck is a small luncheon spot near the front entrance for meeting either before or after the Sketch Meet. They have sandwiches, snacks, and beer if you are interested in extending your time with Urban Sketchers until 4pm. Lots of tables are available in the front lobby area.
 Personal Comfort: Restrooms and elevators are available. Snacks and drinks are welcomed in public spaces but cannot be taken into the fee required areas. Masks are recommended but not required.
 Restrictions: No open ink or charcoal. All other sketching media including watercolor welcomed in the public free spaces. Pencil and colored pencil only in the entrance fee required spaces. As always, be mindful of public pathways and making sure that no patron experiences are inconvenienced.
Throw Down and Photo: 2:45pm in the front entrance against the brick or wooden wall.
