Urban Sketchers Retreat:

Energizing Your Sketches with People

June 12 - 14, 2026 (Fri - Sun)

Many artists are afraid to include people in their sketches, but they make such a difference in bringing an image to life and add a tremendous amount of energy to a sketch. Most places we sketch have people in them, so let’s find easy ways to include them in our art. (And there are EASY ways!!) Join us for a fun, relaxing, all inclusive weekend with fellow sketchers.

Schedule:

Friday evening: Dinner, Orientation: Keys to sketching people

Saturday Morning: Playful approaches, Brunch

Saturday Afternoon: On location in town, Apply techniques in the wild

Saturday Evening: Dinner, Relax and hang out

Sunday Morning: Coffee/tea, final instruction and portrait party, farewell Brunch
