Star Tribune Heritage Printing Plant Sketching
When: Friday, November 21st, 10am-1pm
Where: 800 N. 1st St., Minneapolis, 55401
As
you have likely read, the Star Tribune is exiting their north loop
printing location at the end of the year. We have been given an
opportunity to sketch in the printing plant before closure. Come join us
as we capture a bit of history in our sketches.
Please
meet at the front door. There will be someone to greet us before
sketching. We will be required to stay within the denoted yellow lines
to ensure safety but you will be free to move around inside those lines.
Parking is
available on street in the area. While the timing is over lunch, we will
be sketching the entire time and there will not be food available.
There
has been some discussion about loaning or donating sketches but nothing
had been decided as yet. Perhaps bringing loose paper or a book that
allows tear out sheets would be helpful. No restrictions on media.
