Sketch at Mia This Friday, 1/17 (10am-noon) and U of M Conservatory on Sunday (1/19, 12-3pm))

Here is another chance to sketch at Mia (Minneapolis Institute of Arts). 

 

When: Friday, January 17th, 10am-noon

2400 3rd Ave. S, Minneapolis

 

Free street parking is often available as well as a fee parking ramp. Bus service is available. Museum entrance is free. Pencils only in the galleries. There is a cafe on the main floor near the main entrance. We will meet there at 10 a.m. Throw-down is at 11:45 a.m. near the cafe and children’s play area. 

 

Mia offers such a great space for sketching people, artwork, architecture and views of the city. This may become a regular monthly visit through the winter season because it easily accommodates our growing group.

1. Metro Sketchers has their annual Portrait Sketch at Wet Paint in St. Paul, Mn on Sunday, January 26, from 12-3 pm. 

2. Sunday, January 19-- Urban Sketchers Twin Cities is meeting at the U of M Conservatory and Botanical Collection from 12-3 pm in St. Paul, MN (see Jan. 3rd blog post for details).

3. Save the date of Tuesday, Jan. 28 for a 10-noon Coffee Sketch at a large Minneapolis Coffee shop, to be determined.
