1. Coffee Sketch at Backstory Coffee Roasters

When: Tuesday, January 28th, 10am-noon

Where: 528 N Washington Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55401-1247

Backstory is glad to have us back! Paid street parking is available. This is a huge, but cozy, beautiful industrial space. They open at 7:00 a.m. if you want to get a head start. Coffee, pastries, quick bites and baked goods are available.

2.  Coffee Sketch at Science Museum of Minnesota

When: Monday, February 17th, 10am-noon

Where:  120 Kellogg Blvd W, St Paul, MN 55102

Save the date for a unique opportunity to see behind the scenes at the Science Museum of Minnesota and enter their collections space. We will first be given a tour of the lab and collections areas then be brought to an area where we can sketch pieces of the collection. Birds, bugs, and bones are some of the many things we will be sketching. https://new.smm.org/collections

Agenda:
o 10:00 AM - 10:30 AM: Lab and Vault Tour (15 minutes in each section)
o 10:30 AM - Noon: Sketching

If we have a large number of people, we will split the tour into two groups with sketching opportunities while you are waiting for your tour time. We will not be entering the paid area of the Science Museum but if you are interested in exploring further, you are free to purchase a ticket. 

 

Other News...

We braved the sub-zero temps last Sunday to sketch at the U of MN Conservatory and Botanical collection in St. Paul. A great time was had by all!
