1. July Sketch-Meet at the Hopkins Raspberry Festival and Public Sketch Walk
When: Friday, July 19th, 6:30-9pm
Where: Meet at the Hopkins Clock Tower, 902 Mainstreet, Hopkins MN

The Raspberry Festival is a Twin Cities institution! This year marks it’s 90th anniversary. Hopkins is a historic town with an ever-growing art presence in the area. We are delighted to be asked to participate.
We will sketch-walk to three close-by iconic locations and invite festival goers to sketch with us. Learn more about the festival here.

Meet at the Hopkins Clock Tower located at 902 Mainstreet Hopkins, Mn. Regarding parking, Hopkins has free parking on two surface lots and a parking ramp, all a short distance from main street. Restrooms are available in the Art Center, conveniently located on the sketch route. Attached is further info about the event and timing of sketch locations. Come early and grab a brat at the Elk’s outdoor bbq. Be sure to finish up at 8:30 pm with a private throw-down at Zeller Studios who graciously will have pinwheel sandwiches and veggie snacks for us.

PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOU PLAN TO ATTEND BY TUESDAY, JULY 16 (lori.tolonen@gmail.com), so we can get a headcount for snacks and beverages at Zeller studios. Thank you.

Who we are: Urban Sketchers Twin Cities shares the stories of the Minneapolis and St. Paul metro through sketching. We create drawings in the spirit of the International Urban Sketchers manifesto.
1. We draw on location, indoors or out, capturing what we see from direct observation.
2. Our drawings tell the story of our surroundings, the places we live and where we travel.
3. Our drawings are a record of time and place.
4. We are truthful to the scenes we witness.
5. We use any kind of media and cherish our individual styles.
6. We support each other and draw together.
7. We share our drawings online.
8. We show the world, one drawing at a time.
