May Sketch Walk At Doors Open Minneapolis, Saturday, 5/18, 10am-5pm

 

Hello Urban Sketchers Twin Cities!

Doors Open Minneapolis is back again for 2024! If you participated last year, you’ll know we had a great day of sketching behind the scenes at some amazing spaces. 

 

On Saturday, May 18th, 10am-5pm, Urban Sketchers Twin Cities will be hosting a sketch walk as part of the official activities associated with Doors Open Minneapolis 2024. Sketching activities will be sponsored by Wet Paint. Join us for any part or all of the day.

DATE: Saturday, May 18th
10am-12:30pm: Peavey Plaza and Orchestra Hall

• Meeting Point at 10am: Peavey Plaza (1101 Nicollet Mall, Minneapolis, MN 55403)
• Rain alternate: Orchestra Hall

Morning sketching at Peavey Plaza and adjacent venues such as Orchestra Hall, The Loring Greenway and Westminster Presbyterian Church. At 12:15pm we’ll meet again at Peavey Plaza (Rain alternate: Orchestra Hall lobby) to share sketches and take a group photo.

12:30-2pm- Lunch will be on your own. Groups of sketchers will likely gather at Brit's Pub, The Sushi Train, or Barrio, which are close by.

2:30–5:00 pm: Open Book

• Meeting Point at 2:30pm: Open Book (1011 Washington Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN 55415)

Afternoon sketching at Open Book. Explore Red Lake Nation College and Canopy by Hilton just a few blocks away. Meet back at Open Book at 4:45pm to share sketches and take a group photo.
