Hi Urban Sketchers Twin Cities, Don't Miss These Upcoming Events!

1. Coffee Sketch at Finnish Bistro

When: Wednesday, April 10th

Time: 10am-noon

Where: 2264 Como Ave., St. Paul, MN

 

The Finnish Bistro is a special gathering place set in the charming St. Anthony Park neighborhood of St. Paul. Website: www.finnishbistro.com.

Join the Coffee Sketchers for a fun morning of art. Finnish Bistro has a parking lot as well as street parking. The cafe has lots of windows and is on a corner location. Also the sidewalk tables are set up so if weather permits we can sketch outdoors, too. Per smart and popular requests, I’m now adding an event photo of the sketch location. For those new to Coffee Sketch, we sketch at various locations throughout the metro area from 10 a.m. to noon two times per month. Places and days of week will vary. I aim to get the notice up one-week before the sketch. Happy to be of service. Hosted by Lori Tolonen.

 

2. Let's Share (Zoom)-- "Fun With Color!"
Join us on Zoom Thursday, April 11th (7-8 pm), as we share tips to work with color.

1. Dig out your urban sketches (done on location, not from photos or memory) where you have experimented with color. Examples: using one color (monochrome), limited palette, color to express a mood or feeling, or just plain "I like these colors". If you have favorite colors, take a picture of the paint tube (or pencil, or pen, or whatever) and share with the sketch (see example in Discussion tab on our Facebook page). If you haven't tried these things but are looking for ideas, join us!
2. Post 2 sketches on the Discussion tab of this event on our Urban Sketchers Twin Cities Facebook page by 7pm on April 11th. You do not have to post sketches to join this event.
3. Join us at the Zoom link at 7pm to share and get tips. Hope you can join us!
