Please read the following information provided by Ross, a member of USk TC and a dedicated volunteer of the farm.

WHAT: Sketch resident farm animals, buildings, and farm scapes on a small rescue farm for neglected/abused goats, sheep, pigs, donkeys, Llamas, ducks, chickens, rabbits, pea and guinea fowl, cats, dogs and more! The animal residents live their best lives at Soul Space in an environment that encourages human/creature interaction, and most residents are well acclimated to close proximity to people. The farm includes a late 19th century farmhouse and several outbuildings that make excellent sketch subjects.
BASIC SAFETY/SECURITY
Sketchers are welcome to sketch along any fenced areas. You may also wish to enter the main paddock area to be in with the sheep/goats/some smaller pigs and Amos the donkey. They are quite used to people and will often come up to visit - and see if you brought a snack!
1. Gates: Most resident animals are paddocked together. And they are SMART. Be sure that no animals try to exit the gate when you enter or exit. It is good to enter with two people to coordinate and latch the gate right behind you.
2. Goats especially, but all - like to sample stuff! Many critters explore with their mouths. If in with them, I suggest keeping extra pads and pencils/brushes etc tucked away.
3. The BIG pig pen! The big pen area to the LEFT/south has Wally, Olivia and several other LARGE pigs. GREAT to sketch from along their fence but do not go in with them. They are not aggressive but do not understand their size.

RECOMMENDED THINGS TO BRING
Aside from your sketch supplies...
- folding chair or stool
- Garb for outdoor sketching (wide brim hat, sunshade, long sleeve shirt etc) appropriate to the weather
- PRACTICAL shoes or boots. Pens and paddocks are all VERY close to the parking along the entry drive, but it is a farm so sturdy closed shoes or boots are best.
- It is some distance to restaurants/retail, so snacks/bottled water are suggested.
- Critter snacks! Carrots, apples, celery, sweet corn etc are all relished by the hooded residents and many of the birds and rabbits as well. You are welcome to bring some to share with them.
- Soul Space operates on a very slim budget. Donations are kindly welcome but not required.

ACCESSIBILITY
- Most areas on the farm are accessible in a wheelchair with some assist in transition points.
- There is a portable bathroom BIFF on site and also a bathroom in the farm house available. Both may require assistance if in a wheelchair.
- Potable water and hand wash/sanitizer is available
