Now, we hope you can all make it to our sketch reception opening this Sunday! Here's a small sample of our 53-sketch Bakken exhibit! It's sure to be a great show!

Exhibit Opening Reception:
 
1. Where: The Bakken Museum, 3537 Zenith Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55416.
2. When: Sunday, August 13th, 2-4pm.
3. Invite family and friends to this exciting exhibit in the gallery/lobby area. Light refreshments will be served. 
4. There’s no admission for either the art show or the museum for artists and their guests on Sunday. There's no admission to see the artwork after the opening reception either. Artwork will be displayed until the end of November.

  • August Sketch Meet: Please join in the fun as we sketch the people, places, and activities of Open Streets Minneapolis Cedar-Riverside. This event will take place on Sunday August 20, 12pm-3pm. See details in the August 8th posting on this blog.

 

Sketch At The Minnesota State Fair!

  •  Tuesday 8/29 and Thursday 8/31, our friends at Metrosketchers have organized the MN State Fair Sketch-a-Palooza, 9am-3pm both days. Come and sketch or go at a time that is convenient for you! Information is below. Contact Lisa Marie with questions. (https://www.facebook.com/lmnopisme)
Greetings Sketchers! This year there's TWO separate sketch outings at the Fair!
Tuesday, Aug 29 & Thursday, Aug 31.
The plan for both days are identical... gather at 9am & 3pm for chatting & sharing. (BYOS Bring your own snacks)
Our meetup spot will be the same as usual... between the Food Bldg & the Agriculture/Horticulture Bldg. (Underwood St. & Carnes Ave, near to the Skyride). Sketch kits always contains an umbrella, stool & a container of ice. And $$ for random calories. Some folks do ink, some do watercolor, some pencil. Do whatever works for you. Remember to pack patience & humor & curiosity in your kit!
