March - Skyline Sketching at the Walker Art Center

Our March 2023 sketch outing is all about the beautiful Minneapolis skyline. Join us at the Walker Art Center's Cityview Room for views of Loring Park, the Minneapolis Basilica, and the downtown skyline.

When: Sunday, March19th from 12-3PM.  

Where: Walker Art Center, 725 Vineland Place, Minneapolis, MN 55403.

Getting There: 

• Underground parking is available on-site at a daily rate of $6. Enter the ramp on Vineland Place at Bryant Avenue. Accessible parking in the underground ramp is designated near the elevator and entrance.
• Free, but limited, on-street parking is available on the surrounding streets (restrictions enforced).
• Bike racks are located on Groveland Terrace.
• Metro Transit bus lines are 4, 6, 12 & 25.

Logistics: We will meet at the main the visitor desk near the Vineland entrance.  Urban Sketcher-Twin Cities admins will be there to greet you. An admin will be stationed at the visitor desk throughout the event to guide late-comers to the Cityview room. 

Please note: bring your own sketching stool! The Cityview room is an event space and will not have any furniture set up during our visit. 

Personal Comfort: Restrooms and elevators are available.  Snacks and drinks are available at Cardamom, the Walker's restaurant, but cannot be taken into the museum. 

Cost: $0 to sketch in the Cityview room. If you want to enter any of the galleries, you will need to pay admission.
