Sketchout and demo by Uma Kelkar 7/17 at Macalester

Hi Urban Sketchers Twin Cities!

A brief reminder and some additional details about our monthly sketch outing.

1. Sunday July 17, 12-3pm. Plus post-sketching socializing, if you can join us!
2. Where: Meet at Old Main, Macalester College in St. Paul (1600 Grand Avenue
Saint Paul, MN 55105-1899)
3. After sketching we'll head to Wet Paint and Sencha Tea for socializing, shopping, and cool drinks.
Uma Kelkar will do a demo, then we will sketch in the area. After sketching we will go shopping at Wet Paint followed by bubble tea at Sencha (both on Grand Ave)
3. We'll meet at Macalester on the Great Lawn in front of the building Old Main at noon and again at 2:45pm to share our work and take a group photo. You can park on nearby streets. Go East on Lincoln (just one block south of Wet Paint) to Old Main.
Hope to see you there!

Also... Here is a special impromptu sketch event on Monday, July 18:

Our group has been invited to the Bell Museum for an exclusive preview of Gaia, a touring installation by UK artist Luke Jerram. Gaia is an internally-lit sculpture of the Earth featuring imagery from NASA’s Visible Earth project. At 23 feet in diameter, it presents the Earth at a scale 1.8 million times smaller than its real size and encourages viewers to take a closer look at the place we all call home. Learn more here: https://www.bellmuseum.umn.edu/gaia/
This will be an impromptu informal sketch event for Urban Sketchers Twin Cities. Come and go at your leisure during the time frame below. Share sketches on our Facebook page.

1. When: Monday, July 18th
2. Time: 8-10pm
3. Where: Bell Museum, 2088 Larpenteur Ave W, St Paul, MN 55113
