Biking along the Root River Trail in Lanesboro, Minnesota on a late September day. The trees were in their full fall glory. A sketch break in the afternoon and lunch along the river was just about the perfect way to savour a Saturday.

    I love these sketches. This strikes me as the perfect amount of detail and I am jealous of the simple but perfect color choice

    Thanks James; those are very choices I struggle with — shapes and shadows and details with just a splash color. I try to remember that when I'm engrossed in the fun of making marks.
