Founding of Minneapolis Sketchwalk - 22 September

Sunday September 22nd from noon to 5pm Urban Sketchers Twin Cities will be leading a sketchwalk centered on some of the oldest sites in Minneapolis. You can come for any portion of this full afternooon sketchwalk!

11:45 (optional): Depart from 5th Street SE & 5th Avenue SE to walk together to beginning of sketchwalk. This is a residential area with plenty of street parking available.

12-12:50: St. Anthony Main Street and Water Power Park (45 minutes to sketch. 5 minutes to share sketches and group photo) Meet to share sketches at the small plaza across the street from Aster Cafe.

1-1:50: Nicollet Island Inn and Cast Iron Bridge (45 minutes to sketch. 5 minutes to share sketches and group photo). Meet near the end of the iron bridge to share sketches.

2-2:50: Our Lady of Lourdes Church (45 minutes to sketch. 5 minutes to share sketches and group photo). Meet on the church steps to share sketches.

3-3:50: Ard Godfry House. This is right across the street from Lunds & Byerly grocery store--a perfect stop for snacks for restroom access (45 minutes to sketch. 5 minutes to share sketches and group photo) Meet in front of the house entrance to share sketches.

4-5:00: 5th Street SE Historic District (50 minutes to sketch. 10 minutes to share sketches and group photo) Meet at the corner of 5th Street SE & 5th Avenue SE to share sketches.
