A Few Quick Sketches from Northern Spark Last Night

Here's a few quick sketches in my journal of the Northern Spark event at the Union Depot in Lowertown, St. Paul. I would have done more except I volunteered to visualize people's writings (see my visualizations and other artists on Tumblr) at the Analog Cave at the Bedlam Theater on East Fourth Street and there was so many interesting stuff going on and it was getting close to my bedtime... and it was dark.

I didn't get to sketch the burning house.

I hope Northern Spark does it again at the Union Depot next year.

  1. Ken, it looks like a great evening. I wish I could have been there.

  2. Ken, Thanks for stopping by Pushing Light #2 on Saturday. It was great to see you out and about, sketching the night.

  3. I definitely agree that Northern Spark should be at Union Depot next year - it gave the event an amazing energy, and the Union Depot is a perfect venue for something like this!

It is definitely much better having this festival in a single, walkable area rather than scattered throughout the Twin Cities.
