Sketching at the Old PiPress Building & the New MMAA Space

Roberta and I took a look at the new DYI print exhibition  at the new Minnesota Museum of American Art  space at the old Pioneer Press building undergoing renovation. It was fun to ride in one of the manually-operated, antique elevators.

Roberta sketched the tops of people.

I sketched the bottom half.

The operator explained the features of the elevator.

  1. Ken and Roberta all the sketches are great! I wish I could have been there last night. Karen said you all had a blast.

  2. Love the elevator man! Wish I'd tried the skyway! Roberta, your layout with the cards turned out great. Love the red bowtie on Peter Kramer and the green hair of that cute young girl with the skulls on her scarf. Was great to see you there.
