Schubert Club Courtroom Concert at the Landmark Center in Saint Paul

The weather is turning colder and Twin Cities sketchers must go indoors to sketch and stay warm. Concerts are fun to sketch.

The Schubert Club has a wonderful concert series at noon on Thursdays in the majestic Landmark Center on Rice Park.

I sketched at today's concert featuring the very talented pianist Xiayin Wang playing Hayden, Debussy, Gershwin and Ravel. Today's concert was held in one of the stately courtrooms with lots of carved wood, big windows and chandeliers allowing plenty of light to sketch by.

Next week's concert on the 20th will be the Schubert Club carolers singing carols by Minnesota composers - a good opportunity to sketch carolers and the ice skaters outside the Landmark Center.
